How Skimless handles your data

Skimless helps you turn selected sources, such as feeds, newsletters, YouTube channels, docs, and changelogs, into short briefs. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We collect account information such as your email address, profile details provided through login providers, and settings you choose in the product.

We also collect the sources you add, content needed to generate your briefs, generated brief text and audio, subscription and billing status, and basic technical information such as logs, device data, and usage events.

If you connect a Google or Gmail account, Skimless uses the access you grant only to provide the features you request, such as finding and processing newsletters for your briefs. You can disconnect connected services from your account settings or through the provider.

We use information to operate Skimless, generate and deliver briefs, personalize your experience, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, communicate with you, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers that help us run Skimless, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, email delivery, AI processing, and payment providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Skimless uses third-party AI providers to analyze source content and generate briefs. Content you submit or connect may be sent to those providers as needed to provide the service.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Skimless, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account or personal information, subject to legal and operational limits.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You can update account settings, disconnect integrations, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
